Bath College IT Students Test Peepoc

On Wednesday the 21st of October we had the pleasure of visiting the IT students at Bath College. During the morning we conducted a user testing session where the students searched for bugs and we discussed the UI and how it could be improved.

The students came up with loads of suggestions which we are now working through with the development team. We are already starting to make the changes and would like to say a big thankyou to everyone involved for being such a great help. As you can see, they tested on various phones, tablets and PCs to ensure we tested a wide variety of platforms.

Our co-founder Emily Thompson also joined a Q&A session where she talked about starting out in the technology industry and answered some questions on securing a job and ways to improve your CV.

You may have noticed that Peepoc has changed over the last week. Now you can see the hottest topics being discussed and get involved with ‘Trending Polls’. If you are a keen poll poster then you will be pleased to know you might reach the top of our ‘Leaderboard’! And if that wasn’t incentive enough to get posting polls, then you can also enter to win an iPad mini by polling too! Find out more here.

For those of you who aren’t sure how to make the most of Peepoc, there is a handy hints & tips widget to help you get started.

We have a massive new feature up our sleeve… No details will be divulged for now, but rest assured that the team are very excited and we know you will love it! All will be revealed in two weeks’ time. Come back then….

Peepoc News

You will notice a lot of changes over the coming weeks; if you are busy polling, you might even make it to the top of our leader board soon!

We have already introduced some instructions which you will see when you log in. If you are a seasoned Peepoc user then you can just click “got it” and carry on as you were. If you haven’t used Peepoc in a while these will be really handy. Also, if you use Facebook, you will notice that the poll that is shared in your news feed looks much more appealing.

Are you getting too many notifications? You can change your notification settings, so you don’t receive a notification every time someone votes on your poll. Simply log into Peepoc, click on your username and go to Settings. You will find your preferences under “web notifications”. In settings you can do lots of things such as updating your profile, changing your social share preferences or amending push notifications.

If you have any tips for other Peepoc users then we would love to hear them, email us at info@peepoc.com.

The Peepoc Team

The countdown begins…

On the 21st of July, Peepoc, the social polling network, is going live to the world!

A lot has been happening behind the scenes to get this far, and we would like to say a big thank you to our team of beta users. Their input has been crucial in building Peepoc, we couldn’t have done it without them.

We now have 480 Peepoc polls covering a variety of different topics: news, current affairs, ethics, culture, technology, philosophy and sport. Some are just fun and others are hard hitting questions about real life problems.

Each time someone votes on a Peepoc poll, our voice gets a little bit louder. The more people vote, the more chance we have at being heard and affecting real change, so don’t forgot to invite your friends.

When our voice is loud enough, we promise to do our bit and shout from the roof tops, and with any luck our voice will be heard.
